Clairvoyance Unleash Death Metal Darkness With Debut Album “Chasm of Immurement”

Poland’s extreme underground has just vomited forth one of its most promising new acts: Clairvoyance, whose debut full-length Chasm of Immurement is out now via Carbonized Records.
Formed in the shadow of Warsaw’s decaying industrial outskirts, Clairvoyance have honed a sound that’s as suffocating as it is serpentine, a furious blend of early Finnish death metal atmosphere with the raw ferocity of American pioneers. With Chasm of Immurement, the band deliver a bone-crushing statement that positions them as rightful heirs to a lineage of sonic horror.
From the opening seconds of “Perennial Arcanum,” Clairvoyance let loose a maelstrom of tremolo-picked riffs, cavernous vocals and off-kilter rhythms. But this is no retro exercise. There’s a diseased intelligence beneath the filth, a sense of controlled chaos that recalls the best moments of Demilich, Morbid Angel, and early Gorguts. At just under 35 minutes, the album is tight, oppressive, and utterly relentless.
Production duties were handled by the band themselves, opting for a gritty, analog-heavy mix that preserves the grime without sacrificing clarity. Guitars sound like rusted chainsaws dragged across tombstones. Drums pound with military precision, and the vocals, delivered in deep guttural layers, resonate like a cursed sermon.
In a scene increasingly oversaturated with polished, overproduced death metal, Clairvoyance stand apart. There is menace in their minimalism, and horror in their restraint. Every note feels deliberate. Every song like a ritual.
The band, which until now only released a self-titled EP (2020) and a string of raw live recordings, have clearly evolved into a focused, unforgiving unit. With Chasm of Immurement, Clairvoyance enter the global death metal conversation not as followers, but as contenders.
Essential listening for fans of: Cruciamentum, Dead Congregation, Immolation, and the darker edges of the modern OSDM resurgence.
🩸 Chasm of Immurement is available now on vinyl, cassette and digital formats via Carbonized Records.
