Cavalera Brothers Announce “Return to Chaos” Tour Celebrating Chaos A.D. Across North America

In a move that’s sending shockwaves through the global metal community, Max and Igor Cavalera have announced their most ambitious tour in years. Titled Return to Chaos, the fall 2025 tour will see the iconic Brazilian brothers perform Sepultura’s groundbreaking 1993 album Chaos A.D. in its entirety—a record widely credited with reshaping the boundaries of extreme metal and ushering in a new era of groove, resistance, and cultural weight.

The tour kicks off September 18 at Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY, and will continue through 18 dates across the U.S., wrapping up October 18 in Dallas, TX. Along the way, the Cavalera brothers will be joined by industrial legends Fear Factory as direct support, along with a rotating roster of special guests including Byzantine, Genocide Pact, Prong, Thrown Into Exile, and Herakleion in select cities.

The announcement comes as Chaos A.D. nears its 32nd anniversary. Released in 1993, the album was a turning point—not only for Sepultura but for the genre as a whole. Fusing hardcore, tribal rhythms, and socio-political fury, tracks like “Refuse/Resist,” “Territory,” and “Slave New World” remain anthems of rebellion and identity. For many, Chaos A.D. marked the moment when extreme metal became a global cultural force.

“This album changed everything,” said Max Cavalera in a recent statement. “It’s raw, political, spiritual, and still sounds like the future. Playing it front to back with Igor is going to be like reliving a revolution.”

The tour is already generating massive buzz, not only for the Chaos A.D. full-album performances, but also for its all-star supporting lineup. Fans in select cities will see the Cavalera brothers joined by some of the underground’s most vital voices—from the technical brutality of Byzantine and the old-school crush of Genocide Pact, to the industrial pulse of Prong and the rising aggression of Herakleion.
