Death to All Announces historic Tour honoring “Spiritual Healing” & “Symbolic”

Gorguts and Phobophilic join the celebration of two of the most influential albums in progressive death metal

Death is not the end. It’s transformation. And in the case of Chuck Schuldiner, it’s a legacy that keeps echoing through the veins of extreme music. In 2025, Death to All -a touring lineup composed of former Death members and close collaborators- will hit the road to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Spiritual Healing and the 30th anniversary of Symbolic, two albums that forever changed the shape of death metal.

A journey through evolution and intensity

Released in 1990, Spiritual Healing was the last Death record before Chuck fully embraced technical mastery. It marked a shift from gore-driven lyrics to themes like religious control, social manipulation, and human ethics. Musically, it was still crushingly heavy, but the first signs of complexity and progressive ambition had begun to surface.

Five years later, Symbolic arrived as a statement of intent. It wasn’t just a death metal record. It was a philosophical, melodic, and technical triumph. Many fans and musicians alike consider it not only Death’s greatest achievement, but one of the most important metal albums ever recorded.

This isn’t a simple nostalgia act. It’s a ritual of remembrance and reverence. A sonic pilgrimage through two masterworks that paved the road from raw aggression to intricate musical storytelling. The lineup is expected to feature veteran players from the original recordings as well as some of the finest technical musicians active today.

The tour also features two exceptional guests on all dates: Gorguts, Canadian pioneers of avant-garde death metal, and Phobophilic, one of the most promising young bands in the scene. Gorguts brings a direct spiritual lineage from Chuck’s legacy, while Phobophilic embodies the future: complex, bleak, and uncompromising.

2025 marks key milestones: 35 years of Spiritual Healing, and 30 years of Symbolic. These aren’t just dates. They’re turning points in the evolution of death metal, and revisiting these albums now, as the genre experiences a creative renaissance, feels urgent and necessary.
