Cruzeiro to Perform in Zagreb Alongside Harpy, Grotlo, and Kalež

The Galician stoner doom force Cruzeiro will descend upon Croatia this Sunday, October 26, joining Harpy (USA), Grotlo (Zagreb), and Kalež (Zagreb) for an unholy gathering at Klub Močvara under the banner Manifest Crnila. It will be a night devoted to noise, ritual, and the beauty of sonic chaos.

Organized by Crnilo, Metal Braća, and Radio Student, this event is less about entertainment and more about invocation. It is a communion for those who understand that truth is not whispered but screamed. Salvation here is not found in light but in the echo of darkness.

HARPY (USA)

Origin: Providence, Rhode Island

From the experimental depths of Providence comes Harpy, the project of Gynne Bootleg and Pippi Zornoza, both deeply involved in noise, performance art, and underground expression.

Their music is not crafted to please but to disturb, not to entertain but to awaken. Through layers of industrial tension, dark ambient textures, and ritual noise, Harpy creates something closer to an exorcism than a concert.

Each performance feels like a séance where sound replaces language. Every frequency carves into the subconscious, forcing confrontation instead of comfort. Their presence demands silence, not applause, and what remains is a sense of cleansing through chaos.

This is not music for escape but for transformation. It exists in the uneasy space between beauty and horror.

CRUZEIRO (Spain)

Origin: Galicia, Spain

From the misty lands of Galicia comes Cruzeiro, a stoner doom quartet whose sound moves like a storm across the Atlantic. Their music is massive, oceanic, and ritualistic, built from layers of distortion, melancholic riffs, and primal rhythm.

Their album Hic Sunt Dracones (“Here Be Dragons”) carries the listener through a landscape of myth and melancholy. The voice of Beatriz Onyx resonates like prophecy, both commanding and mournful. Her presence feels elemental, as if she channels forces older than language itself.

Cruzeiro approaches doom as something sacred rather than nostalgic. Every riff carries tectonic weight, every silence feels like the breath before a collapse. Their performance in Zagreb is more than a show. It is an offering to the abyss, a rare descent made in the name of heaviness and communion.

GROTLO (Zagreb)

Origin: Zagreb, Croatia

Representing the local underground, Grotlo delivers a storm of introspective heaviness. Their post-metal soundscapes are immersive and deliberate, an architecture of emotion and decay.

In Grotlo’s music, silence becomes part of the composition. Every tone carries the weight of sleepless nights and inner dialogue. The band rejects familiar structures and instead builds tension and atmosphere through texture and dynamic contrast.

Their live shows are meditative and brutal at once, leading the listener inward rather than outward. This performance marks a significant moment for the band, a swampy premiere where sound and psyche collide.

KALEŽ (Zagreb)

Origin: Zagreb, Croatia

Closing the night is Kalež, one of the most promising new acts in the Croatian black metal scene. The trio draws from black metal’s raw origins yet pushes further into dense atmospheres filled with ritual and symbolism.

Their recent single Koplje kaosa (“The Spear of Chaos”) hints at the depth of what is coming. Their debut album, now in the works, is expected to expand that vision into a full-scale invocation.

Kalež does not perform in a conventional sense. They appear as if summoned. Their songs do not end, they extinguish themselves like candles on a forgotten altar. Each show feels like a collective breath before a prayer that no one remembers how to say.
