Cradle of Filth and Suffocation announce winter European tour: An extreme metal alliance

Two giants from the darker ends of the metal spectrum are joining forces for what promises to be one of the most intense tours of the winter season. UK legends Cradle of Filth and US death metal pioneers Suffocation have officially announced a co-headlining European tour set to take place in late 2025 and early 2026, bringing together the theatrical ferocity of symphonic black metal and the uncompromising brutality of technical death metal.

The tour will cover multiple European cities starting this December, and the pairing has already sparked massive buzz across fan communities. While their styles differ; Cradle of Filth known for gothic atmosphere and poetic darkness, and Suffocation revered for their speed, precision, and relentless sonic assault, the fusion is nothing short of explosive.

Cradle frontman Dani Filth described the upcoming shows as “a celebration of the darkest forms of sonic art.” Meanwhile, Terrance Hobbs of Suffocation commented, “Bringing brutal death metal back to Europe with a band as iconic as Cradle is both an honor and a promise of absolute chaos on stage.”

Both bands have remained active in 2025. Cradle of Filth is reportedly working on new material expected in 2026, while Suffocation continues to promote Hymns from the Apocrypha, their 2023 release that marked a triumphant chapter in their already storied career.
