Ancient Black Logo
Kraisler AB stands as the next step in the journey of Ancient Black, an iconic Colombian metal band that has left an indelible mark on the scene since its founding in 1999. With over two decades of experience, Jahir Sánchez (Kraisler) and César López (Dante) have elevated their sound to new heights, blending the darkness of gothic doom with the intensity of death black metal. This new chapter invites both fans and newcomers to the band to enjoy a unique experience that respects their roots while simultaneously propelling their sound into the future.
Kraisler AB not only reverberates the essence of Ancient Black but redefines it, bringing their legacy to a new generation of metal enthusiasts. The perfect combination of melody and brutality promises to captivate both devoted followers and new listeners, reaffirming Kraisler AB’s place in the Colombian and international metal scene.
In 2005, with the notable addition of Kathy to the lineup, the band solidified its distinctive sound by integrating her powerful growl, greatly enriching the musical proposal with a captivating and powerful vocal duality. Iconic tracks such as "Nightmare Of The Life," "Sleep In Hell," and "A Dream Inside a Comedy" are part of their first demo entitled Sleep In Hell – Demo-lition. In 2014, they enthusiastically released The Madness Throne, an impressive work containing six impactful tracks, presented during the successful The Madness Throne Mexico Tour 2014, which spanned eight cities and firmly established their presence in the vibrant extreme metal scene.
As we advance toward 2024, Ancient Black took a significant step in its evolution, transforming into Kraisler AB, a new name that represents both its founder and the initials of the original band while maintaining the same essence, members, and musical focus that define them. Under this new and inspiring identity, they released the albums Misantropía and, heading into 2025, Romance Perdido, which features Eloísa on clean vocals. The latter is a conceptual work that reinforces their characteristic melancholic and profound sound while exploring new sonic dimensions within the gothic doom metal genre.
Throughout their career, Kraisler has participated in renowned festivals, bringing their music to diverse cities both domestically and internationally, thereby establishing themselves as one of the most prominent and representative proposals in metal. Their evolution not only reflects impressive musical growth but also an artistic maturation that continues to delve into introspection, misanthropy, and darkness in their passionate lyrics and compositions.
