The artist of the week: Exegesis
EXEGESIS is a metal band formed in 2003 in Bogotá, Colombia, and currently based in Chicago, United States. Fusing elements of Death Metal and Heavy Metal, the band has developed an intense and technical sound, characterized by powerful riffs and progressive rhythm changes. The designation of their music as "Progressive Vegetarian Ultrametal" is not so much a genre, it is an ironic criticism of the tendency to pigeonhole music into fixed categories, underlining the breadth of their musical proposal.
The band consists of Juan Garzón (vocalist and bassist), Andrés Garzón (guitarist) and Nik Simmons (drummer). Throughout their career, EXEGESIS has released five albums: "Lágrimas de sangre" , "Espíritu artificial" , "Insurrección" , "Amen" and "Obsolescencia humanos" . The band has toured in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and the United States, attracting a passionate and diverse fan base.
Thanks to their active presence on social media, they have managed to expand their reach and capture the attention of followers around the world. Their videos have gone viral and generated millions of views, allowing them to maintain a direct connection through exclusive content that preserves and enhances the essence of their musical proposal. In addition, EXEGESIS expands its artistic proposal by venturing into theater and audiovisual production, and shares part of their lives through humor, videos, travel, art, concerts and events.
